Helping new thru-hikers find their way while preparing for a long-distance hike is incredibly rewarding. As I continue to learn and prepare for my hikes, I love to add all the best details I can here to carry forward these helpful tips and hints.
It is for this reason that ThruHiker.TV was created! I want to make planning, prepping, and enjoying backpacking trips more accessible by adding to my readers knowledge while helping them solve their personal pain points and issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.
I take time to research and understand what is needed; I am researching many trails and trying to constantly find ones that will fit my time off from work so posts can come slowly at the time, read more about me here.
How is my content written?
To be clear, a lot happens behind the scenes. To maintain a high standard in content, one piece of content requires a lot of time. Here is my process below:
- Coming up with relevant topics (1+ hours)
- Dedicated research (1-10+ hours)
- Content curation (1+ hours)
- Fact and source checking (1+ hours)
- Writing the content (3+ hours)
- Designing the visuals (1+ hours)
- Proofreading (30 min)
- Final touches (1+ hour)
- Publishing (30 min)
As you can understand from this, creating just a single article, from start to finish, can sometimes take more than 12 hours to produce!
